Patch Requests
After more than 25 years of using the same uniform shoulder patch, Sheriff Allen decided it was time to move on to a new, modern design that better reflects Anson County. The final selection was one that is both eye catching and reflects some of the significant resources in the county.
Anson County is a rural county that is still covered significantly in forests. It has an abundant water supply from the Pee Dee River and Rocky River that border the county on two sides. The new patch reflects the beautiful pine forests, the Carolina blue sky, the two rivers and the bountiful wild life, including the great bald eagle population, the symbol of freedom of our Nation. The new design was officially introduced on June 2, 2007. |
